Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today received President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and his accompanying delegation.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed President el-Sisi, emphasising the strength of the brotherly relations between the two countries and its people.
His Highness exchanged talks with the Egyptian President on a number of bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest, stressing the importance of strengthening friendly ties and cooperation between the UAE and Egypt at various levels.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid praised role played by the Arab Republic of Egypt, particularly about regional security, safeguarding Arab interests, and working to consolidate the foundations of peace and stability within the region.
His Highness also lauded the remarkable economic growth witness by Egypt, and its progressive development in its public services across Egyptian governorates and cities, providing the best possible living standards for its citizens.
During the meeting, His Highness, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also reiterated the importance of strengthening solidarity between the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to reaffirm the values of peace, tolerance and stability in region, and combating extremism, fanaticism, and terrorism both regionally and globally.
