Iraq President Fuad Masum and UAE Ambassador to Iraq Hassan Ahmed Al Shehhi on Thursday discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the economic and investment domains.
At a meeting with the Iraqi president, Al Shehhi conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to the Iraqi President.
Masum reciprocated his greetings to the UAE leaders and wished further progress to the country under its wise leadership. He also thanked them for supporting Iraq and other friendly countries, lauding the tolerant and balanced Emirati policy and its sharp-sighted vision for the future in the best interests of all parties.
He confirmed Iraq's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, especially since it is being held under the theme, "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future."
The parties also discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the economic and investment domains.
Al Shehhi stressed that the UAE looks forward to boosting ties with Iraq and working together to support the country in continuing its development process, achieving stability, and fighting terrorism and extremism.
