President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has bestowed the Order of Independence of the First Class to Aref Al Nayed, Ambassador of Libya to the UAE.
The order was bestowed to Al Nayed in recognition of his efforts to promote and enhance the friendly and co-operative relations between the UAE and Libya in all spheres.
The order was presented by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation when he received Al Nayed at his office in the Ministry here today.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah lauded the ambassador's role in enhancing the ties between the UAE and Libya and wished him success in all his future assignments.
Al Nayed expressed appreciation of the wise policy being pursued by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and the prominent role he is playing at regional and international levels.
He also thanked all government departments in the UAE for their co-operation, which helped him on his successful mission of bolstering relations between the two countries.
