HE Lana Nusseibeh meets with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

HE Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs met with United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Dr. Volker Türk in Geneva, to discuss the critical interplay between human rights, peace, and prosperity in the Middle East and globally.

During the meeting, they explored ways to enhance the longstanding partnership between the UAE and the UN Human Rights Office.

Emphasis was placed on deepening cooperation to pursue shared priorities and address global human rights challenges effectively.

HE Nusseibeh reiterated UAE's commitment to advancing human rights as a cornerstone for achieving sustainable peace and development worldwide.

The meeting underscored the UAE's proactive role in the international human rights dialogue and its dedication to fostering global cooperation for a more just and prosperous world.

The meeting was attended by HE Jamal AlMusharakh UAE's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva.
