H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed meets with Estonian President at Expo 2020 Dubai
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has met with Estonian President Alar Karis at Expo 2020 Dubai.
During the meeting H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their sincere wishes for further development and prosperity for the Republic of Estonia.
In turn, Alar Karis, President of Estonia, conveyed his greetings to the UAE leaders, wishing the UAE's government and people further growth and development.
During the meeting, they discussed UAE-Estonia relations and ways to enhance the prospects for joint cooperation in all fields in order to advance the mutual interests of their countries and their peoples.
The sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, including developments in Ukraine, and ways to strengthen efforts to reach a political solution to the crisis.
They also reviewed the participation of the Republic of Estonia in Expo 2020 Dubai, and the importance of leveraging the opportunities provided by this global event to promote cooperation between the two countries.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of President Alar Karis, and praised Estonia's world-leading model in digital transformation and its sophisticated IT and cybersecurity sector.
