UAE President and Kyrgyz President attend exchange of agreements and MoUs

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, attended the exchange of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements between the UAE and Kyrgyzstan to enhance cooperation in various fields.

The MoUs and agreements exchanged between the two sides at Al Shati Palace included the following:

An MoU for financial and technical cooperation was exchanged by Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Almaz Baketayev, Kyrgyz Finance Minister.

An MoU in the field of energy was exchanged by Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and his Kyrgyz counterpart Talaibek Ibraev, Minister of Energy.

An MoU in the field of environment was exchanged by Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment, and Dinara Kutmanova, Kyrgyz Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision.

A Diplomatic MoU on amendments to the MoU signed on 17th January, 2017, related to visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports was exchanged by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Jeenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

An MoU in the field of cybersecurity was exchanged by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, and Jeenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

An MoU between the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates and the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan was exchanged by Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), and Kubanychbek Bokontayev, Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.

A twinning agreement between the cities of Abu Dhabi and Bishkek was exchanged by Falah Al Ahbabi, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport and Member of the Executive Council, and Emilbek Abdykadyrov, Mayor of Bishkek.

An MoU in the field of Islamic affairs was exchanged by Dr. Mohammed Matar al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE), and Toygonbai Abdykarov, Director of the State Commission for Religious Affairs.

A cooperation agreement between the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and the Cabinet of Kyrgyzstan was exchanged by Mohammed Saif Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and Daniyar Amangeldiev, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
