Her Excellency Lana Nusseibeh Participates in Kultaranta Talks 2026 in Finland
On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Lana Nusseibeh, Minister of State, attended the Kultaranta Talks 2026 in Naantali, Finland.
During the visit, H.E. Nusseibeh met with His Excellency President Alexander Stubb of Finland, and held bilateral meetings with Her Excellency Elina Valtonen, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Ville Tavio, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, in the presence of the Ambassadors of both countries. Discussions focused on strengthening UAE–Finland relations and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, technology, innovation, resilience, people-to-people ties and emerging technologies, as well as exchanging views on regional and international developments.
Her Excellency also held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, to discuss regional peace and stability, free trade, and ways of promoting partnerships that advance shared objectives.
During the event, H.E. Nusseibeh participated in a high-level panel discussion alongside H.E. Dr. Jaishankar and H.E. Valtonen. The discussion focused on the evolving international order, regional conflicts, strategic resilience, energy security, freedom of navigation, and the implications of current geopolitical developments for global stability and economic prosperity.
H.E. Nusseibeh emphasized that today’s security and economic challenges are increasingly interconnected and require collective international responses. Drawing on the UAE’s recent experience in confronting sustained regional security threats, Her Excellency highlighted the importance of resilience, strategic autonomy, and international cooperation, stressing that safeguarding freedom of navigation and global trade is a shared international responsibility. H.E. Nusseibeh also underscored the UAE’s continued commitment to partnerships that contribute to regional and global prosperity.
The visit reaffirmed the strong and growing partnership between the United Arab Emirates and Finland and the shared commitment of both countries to advancing cooperation in bilateral, regional, and multilateral domains.
