UAE Delegation Concludes Official Visit to Sweden to Strengthen Cooperation in Research and Advanced Technology
A UAE delegation led by His Excellency Omran Sharaf, Assistant Foreign Minister for Advanced Science and Technology, has concluded a successful two-day mission to Stockholm, Sweden. The visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations across critical, emerging, and advanced technologies, and elevating cooperation to new levels by exploring joint strategic opportunities and promoting global technology security.
The visit also aimed to expand collaboration into new, strategically important areas, notably innovation and research and development (R&D), which reflects the UAE’s commitment to bolstering its partnership with Sweden in these fields.
The delegation held meetings with several high-level Swedish entities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sector for International Development and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Education, the Swedish Research Council, and other public and private entities in the field of technology. The discussions focused on areas of mutual interest and on laying the groundwork for long-term partnerships that foster innovation, economic growth, and technological advancement.
The delegation included Sheikha Alyazia bint Sultan Al Nahyan, Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdulaziz Al Dosari, Executive Director from the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), and Bilal Hamoui, Regional General Manager at G42. The delegation also included other representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE Space Agency, the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), G42, and EDGE. The delegation was accompanied by Her Excellency Ghasaq Shaheen, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden.
