The UAE Embassy in Seoul organized the “Road to COP28 in the UAE” event to promote the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28). The event was attended by around 150 officials and distinguished guests, including H.E. Ban Ki-moon, President of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and former Secretary-General of the United Nations. H.E. Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi, Ambassador of the UAE to Seoul, opened the event with remarks highlighting the importance of mobilizing international efforts to address climate change.
The event showcased the UAE’s preparations to host COP28 and its vision for strengthening global cooperation toward balanced, ambitious, and inclusive outcomes. It also highlighted the UAE’s commitment to renewable energy, environmental protection, and sustainable development, as well as the role of COP28 in advancing innovative solutions and effective partnerships to address climate change and build a legacy of hope for future generations.
