Marking the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between the UAE and Finland, the Embassy in Helsinki launched its anniversary book “Shaping the Next 50 Years, Together” during the 54th UAE Union Day reception held in Helsinki.
The publication brings together five decades of shared history through people-to-people stories that have shaped and strengthened this partnership. The stories, ranging from archival discoveries to personal recollections, highlight the depth, diversity, and enduring character of the ties connecting both nations. The design of the book, inspired by the national birds of the UAE and Finland – the falcon and the whooper swan – combines the UAE and Finland’s ambition, strength, grace, and resilience, embodying a relationship grounded in dialogue, mutual respect, and a forward-looking spirit.
