During an official visit to the state of Minas Gerais in December, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Brazil conducted a series of technical meetings and site visits focused on investment opportunities in the lithium and strategic minerals sector.
As part of the agenda, Mr. Tariq Hassan, Head of Media and Public Diplomacy, participated in a technical meeting with Titanium Lithium at Lithion Ionic, where operational details and business opportunities in the mining sector were presented, with a particular focus on Minas Gerais. The discussions highlighted Brazil’s growing potential in strategic minerals and underscored opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and sustainable investment between the UAE and Brazil.
In coordination with Titan Lithium, the Embassy also held a meeting with the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (FIEMG) and the Invest Minas agency. The meeting emphasized investment prospects within the expanding lithium and strategic minerals ecosystem in the state.
Additionally, Mr. Tariq Hassan, accompanied by senior executives of Titan Lithium, was received by Executive Director Luis Gio. The meeting included an exchange of views on investment opportunities and the business environment in Minas Gerais.
The visit concluded with a technical tour of the facilities of CBL in Minas Gerais, conducted by Mr. Tariq Hassan alongside senior executives from Titan Lithium. The visit provided in-depth insight into operational processes and highlighted the strengthening of Brazil’s capabilities in the lithium sector.
These engagements reflect the Embassy’s continued efforts to support dialogue and cooperation between Emirati and Brazilian stakeholders, particularly in sectors of strategic importance to sustainable economic development.
