About this service

This service provides attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE missions in the country of use. Attestation verifies the authenticity of signatures and official seals on documents issued within or outside the UAE. The attestation method is determined based on whether the document is digital or non-digital.

Service process

Outside the United Arab Emirates

  1. Registration
    Register to apply for the service.
  2. Application Submission
    Complete the application form and select attestation outside the UAE.
  3. Fees Payment

    Pay the applicable fees through the available payment channels.

  4. Confirmation Message
    A confirmation message will be sent upon successful submission, including the reference number.
  5. Application via MoFA Channels
      Visit the UAE mission in the country of residence, or 
      Apply through the official website of the UAE mission in the country of residence.

Inside the United Arab Emirates

  1. Registration
    Register to apply for the service using UAE Pass (Digital Identity).
  2. Application Submission

    Courier-based Attestation: Select “UAE Attestations,” choose the document type, complete the required details, then select the preferred delivery time and courier provider.
    Digital Attestation: Select “UAE Attestations,” choose the document type, complete the required details, then select the destination country where the document will be used.

  3. Fees Payment
    Pay the applicable fees through the available payment channels.
  4. Confirmation Message
    A confirmation message will be sent upon successful submission, including the reference number.
  5. Delivery and Receipt of Attested Documents

    Courier-based attestation: The selected courier service company will contact you to deliver the attested document.
    Digital attestation: The digitally attested document will be sent to the registered email address.

Conditions of Use

  • The applicant is responsible for the accuracy of all submitted information. Any incorrect information may result in legal liability.
  • Applications submitted incorrectly will be automatically rejected.
