H.E. Mahash Saeed AlHameli, UAE Ambassador to South Africa and Non-Resident Ambassador to Botswana, attended the groundbreaking ceremony of New Botswana City in the presence of H.E. Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana. The project is being developed through a partnership between UAE-based ALBADDAD Holding and Botswana Development Corporation.
Valued at US$1.9 billion, the development is among Botswana’s largest transformational projects and will feature residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail facilities, alongside a world-class exhibition and convention centre. The project is expected to boost trade, investment, and tourism, support economic diversification, and create thousands of jobs, further strengthening Botswana’s position as a regional hub for business and commerce.
