Visas Entry Visit Visa Please note:
Holders of Hand Written Passports or Travel Documents are not eligible to apply for an entry visit/tourist permit visa to the United Arab Emirates.
Ordinary Passports:
- Nationals of the following countries, holding ordinary passports, are permitted to enter the United Arab Emirates without a pre-obtained Entry Visit Visa. However, the Entry Visit Visa will be granted by the UAE Authorities upon arrival at any UAE ports (air, land and sea) which is valid for 30 days and is free of charge
- “ Australia, Federal Republic of Germany, France, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Kingdom of Belgium, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Holland, Kingdom Of Malaysia, Kingdom of Norway, Kingdom of Spain, Kingdom of Sweden, Nation of Brunei - The Abode of Peace, New Zealand, Portugal, Principality of Andorra, Principality of Liechtenstein, Principality of Monaco, Republic of Austria, Republic of Finland, Republic of Ireland, Republic of San Marino, Republic of Singapore, Republic of South Korea, Swiss Union, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United States of America, Vatican City. “
- This visa could be extended for another 30 days and the fee would be 500.00 Dirhams.
- Any person who enters the UAE with an Entry Visit Visa is not allowed to work in the country whether paid or unpaid
- Nationals, holding ordinary passports, of the countries not listed above can obtain the Entry Visit Visa to enter the UAE through a sponsored visa by a friend or relative who lives there, or through direct application via Emirates Airlines Click here for all the terms and conditions
All travel and logistical arrangements should be arranged prior to your travel Diplomatic/Official Passports Holders:
- Nationals of the following countries, holding diplomatic and official passports, are permitted to enter the United Arab Emirates without a pre-obtained Entry Visit Visa.
- However, the Entry Visit Visa will be granted by the UAE Authorities upon arrival at any UAE ports (air, land and sea) which is valid for 30 days and is free of charge
- The regulations of the Transit Visa do not apply to the nationals of the countries, with diplomatic and official passports, listed below Diplomatic and Official Passports
- Only Arab Republic of Egypt, Federal Republic of Germany, France, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Diplomatic Passport only), Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, Kingdom of Belgium, Kingdom of Malaysia, Kingdom of Morocco, Kingdom of Holland, Kingdom of Norway, Kingdom of Spain (Diplomatic Passport only), Kingdom of Sweden, Nation of Brunei - The Abode of Peace, New Zealand, People's Republic of China (Diplomatic Passport only), Portugal (Diplomatic Passport only), Republic of Armenia (Diplomatic Passport only), Republic of Austria, Republic of Azerbaijan (Diplomatic Passport only), Republic of Cyprus, Republic of Finland, Republic of Indonesia, Republic of Kazakhstan (Diplomatic Passport only),Republic of Singapore, Republic of South Korea, Republic of Tunisia, Republic of Turkey, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Swiss Union, The People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.” The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates does not take any responsibility for the countries listed above. It is the onus of the traveler him/herself to make sure of their government requirements for a visa application.
- Nationals, holding Diplomatic and Official passports, of the countries not listed above are required to apply via the UAE Embassy for an Entry Visit Visa prior to travel.
The following paperwork is required to be submitted:
- Note verbal from the Department of International Relations and Cooperation or its diplomatic missions. (The following information should be included in the Note; Purpose of entry, date of entry and the duration of stay)
- Valid passport for at least six months
- Travel Itinerary
- Letter of Invitation
- Two ID photos with a white background. One photo must be glued onto the form and the other enclosed with the passport (Please do not staple the photo onto the form)
- The Application Form can be downloaded from the embassy’s website and the information provided must be typed onto the form. No handwritten forms will be accepted.
