The Brazilian company Stattus4 has been awarded the Zayed Sustainability Prize in the Water category, in recognition of its innovative use of technology to address water losses in distribution systems and promote sustainable water management.
Founded in 2015 by Marília Lara and Antonio Oliveira, Stattus4 emerged from a shared concern about how technology could be applied in a practical and intelligent way to reduce water losses. From early sketches and prototypes to the creation of a purpose-driven startup, the company was established with a clear mission: to help preserve water resources through innovation.
Since its founding, Stattus4 has expanded its operations, strengthened its team, and continuously advanced its technological solutions. Throughout this trajectory, the company has supported more than 250 cities and contributed to the reduction of approximately 540 million liters of water losses per day — the equivalent of 250 Olympic-sized swimming pools — enough to supply around 8 million people.
