Economic cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt represents one of the strongest models of Arab economic integration. Built on strategic investment, trade, and sustainable development, the economic partnership reflects the depth of the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries. The United Arab Emirates is one of Egypt's leading economic partners at both the regional and international levels, with significant investments across key sectors including real estate, energy, infrastructure, tourism, financial services, banking, insurance, technology, telecommunications, and e-commerce. More than 1,800 Emirati companies operate in the Egyptian market, underscoring the confidence of UAE investors in Egypt's economy.

Economic ties have expanded significantly in recent years. Bilateral trade reached approximately USD 9.7 billion in 2025, up from USD 6 billion in 2024, representing year-on-year growth of 61.7%. Egyptian exports to the United Arab Emirates more than doubled to USD 7 billion in 2025, compared to USD 3.3 billion in 2024, while Egyptian imports from the United Arab Emirates totaled approximately USD 2.7 billion.

The Ras El Hekma development marked a historic milestone in bilateral economic relations as the largest foreign direct investment transaction in Egypt's history. The project has strengthened foreign currency inflows and reinforced investor confidence in the Egyptian economy. UAE companies also play a leading role in delivering major strategic and development projects across Egypt, including urban development, new cities, ports, logistics zones, and energy infrastructure. Key projects include the New Administrative Capital, New Alamein City, and initiatives within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, which continues to attract growing interest from UAE investors.
