The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Bern organized the third edition of the Swiss–UAE AI Forum in Zurich, bringing together a distinguished group of officials, experts, and representatives from the technology and economic sectors of both countries.
The forum served as a platform to discuss future perspectives on the development of artificial intelligence and to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in this vital field, in support of innovation and in line with the rapid global digital transformation.
The forum witnessed high-level participation, including a keynote address delivered virtually by H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications. In his remarks, His Excellency highlighted the UAE’s national strategy in the field of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the importance of investing in human capital and strengthening international partnerships to achieve sustainable development.
For her part, H.E. Dr. Hissa Abdullah Al Otaiba, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein, underscored the importance of the forum as a leading platform for enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in the fields of innovation and technology. She also highlighted the remarkable progress achieved by the UAE in this sector, noting that the country is considered among the leading and advanced nations in the field of artificial intelligence.
