As part of efforts to strengthen economic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Serbia, and following the entry into force of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries, a workshop was held in cooperation between the UAE Embassy in Belgrade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.
The workshop was attended by H.E. Ahmed Almenhali, UAE Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Vladimir Maric, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the UAE, and H.E. Mihailo Vesovic, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, along with the members of the UAE Embassy, chamber’s representatives, and members of the Serbian business community.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and increasing exchanges between the business communities, companies, and chambers of commerce in the UAE and Serbia. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral economic relations.
The UAE Embassy delivered an informational presentation highlighting the advantages, investment opportunities, and supportive business environment in the United Arab Emirates.
It is worth noting that since launching the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Program in September 2021, the UAE has concluded 31 agreements with countries and strategic groups representing about a quarter of the world’s population—2.5 billion people—creating shared benefits for the UAE and its partners worldwide. These agreements aim to strengthen pathways of rules-based international free trade, support investment, and expand the scope of trade in goods and services, as well as re-export opportunities.
