H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received a phone call today from H.E. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, during which they discussed the ongoing military escalation in the region and its serious implications for regional and global security and stability, as well as its impact on international shipping and the global economy.
During the call, the Greek Prime Minister reiterated Greece’s condemnation of the continued terrorist attacks carried out by Iran against the United Arab Emirates and other countries in the region, targeting civilians, infrastructure, and civilian facilities. He stressed that such actions constitute a violation of the sovereignty of states, international law, and the United Nations Charter.
The two sides also reviewed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and joint work, as well as ways to further strengthen them at all levels in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their peoples, within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and Greece.
