This secure, paperless service is now available through the UAE Embassy in Tokyo and applies to documents issued outside the UAE.

How to Apply
Please note: Submission of the original document to the UAE Embassy in Tokyo is mandatory for the issuance of the digital attestation.
1. Log in to the UAE MoFA website using UAE Pass and select Document Attestation Service from the Services menu. If you do not have a UAE Pass account, click here and follow the steps to create one.
2. Select the Country of Issuance – Japan.
3. Complete the online application and proceed with payment.
4. After completing the payment, send a clear scanned copy of the document(s) to be attested to the Consular Section at the UAE Embassy in Tokyo via email: Tokyo.cons@mofa.gov.ae.
5. You will receive an email from the Consular Section of the UAE Embassy in Tokyo requesting that you visit the Embassy to submit the original document(s).
6. Once the attestation process has been completed, you will receive an email containing your digitally attested documents, certified by both the UAE Embassy in Tokyo and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
