During an official visit to Rhode Island, Consul General Amna Almheiri met with Governor Daniel McKee, University of Rhode Island President Marc Parlange, and Care New England President & CEO Dr. Michael Wagner to discuss Rhode Island's innovation ecosystem, artificial intelligence, and opportunities for collaboration in research and health technologies.
The visit also included a tour of Unity Park and meetings with leaders from Rhode Island's thriving blue economy ecosystem, including REGENT, Flux Marine, VATN Systems, and Quonset Development Corporation, to explore the future of maritime innovation, marine electrification, autonomous systems, and sustainable ocean technologies.
We look forward to building on these new partnerships between the UAE and Rhode Island.
