On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held from June 3 to 6, 2026, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Russian Federation organized a series of bilateral meetings.
The UAE delegation, led by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, held meetings with several Russian government ministers, including Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Transport Andrei Nikitin, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic Alexey Chekunkov, and Minister of Sport Mikhail Degtyarev. Meetings were also held with representatives of public and private organizations. The main objective of the talks was to discuss prospects for the further development of economic and investment cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The meetings were also attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Al Jaber, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, Ms. Maitha Al Saleh, Senior Trade and Economic Specialist at the Embassy, and Ms. Hamda Al Shaijee, Senior Political Affairs Specialist at the Embassy.
