Today, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of the Philippines proudly mark the 51st anniversary of diplomatic relations, celebrating over five decades of friendship, cooperation, and shared progress.

His Excellency Mohamed Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Philippines and Non-Resident Ambassador to Palau, met with His Excellency Surangel Whipps, Jr., President of the Republic of Palau, and discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

H.E. Mohamed Obaid Alqataam Alzaabi, UAE Ambassador in Manila, met with H.E. Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, discussed ways to develop the bilateral cooperation in different fields, in the Light of 51st anniversary for the bilateral relations between UAE & the Philippines.

The United Arab Emirates has expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with the Republic of the Philippines over the victims of Typhoon Co-may, which struck Luzon Island accompanied by heavy rainfall. The typhoon resulted in numerous deaths and injuries, as well as significant damage to property.

On behalf of the United Arab Emirates, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the government and the esteemed people of the Republic of the Philippines on the celebration of the 127th Philippine Independence Day - an enduring symbol of the nation’s courage, resilience, and unwavering pursuit of peace and prosperity.
