Passport

  • Make sure that your passport is valid for a minimum period of six months.

Obey the laws:

  • Keep away from illegal substances.
  • Recruitment and employment of manpower should prevail through licensed agencies to avoid legal accountability.
  • Do not smoke except in designated areas.

Your money:

  • Confirm the effectiveness of your ATM card in the Philippines, verify with your bank.
  • The local airport authorities allow the amount of ten thousand American Dollars in cash or its equivalent in other foreign currencies. If amount carried exceeds, concerned authorities must be informed.

Ticket:

  • Verify the spelling of your name as stated in your Passport, and your companions name on the ticket(s).
  • It’s required to have a Round-Trip Plane ticket with valid return date.

Entry visa:

  • Visa will be issued upon arrival and valid for 30 days.
  • Visa extension is mandatory after spending 30 days. Penalties will occur in case of negligence. 
  • Before traveling, make sure to authenticate any certificate or degree that you intend to use abroad from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Authentication:

General Information

Procedures in securing A "Police Clearance": -

  • Go to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to request for NBI Fingerprints.
    Reminder: The NBI Fingerprints document differs from the NBI Clearance. Please remember to clarify it to the NBI Officer by stating the purpose for which you need your NBI Fingerprints.
  • After securing the NBI Fingerprints, proceed to the Department of Foreign Affairs to have your NBI Fingerprints authenticated.
  • Following the completion of authentication from the Department of Foreign Affairs, SEND your DFA-authenticated NBI Fingerprints to the UAE Embassy thru Express/DHL. 
    Authentication fee cost AED 150.00 per document.
    Reminder: Express/DHL is the only courier company accredited by the UAE Embassy to collect and bring your document(s) to the Embassy for authentication.
    The courier/service fees are separate from the authentication fee of the Embassy.
  • Upon completion of the document(s) authentication by the UAE Embassy, it shall be delivered back to you by Express/DHL, together with the application form of the UAE Ministry of Interior. Kindly fill it up and attach the specified and required documents for submission. 

IMPORTANT ADVICE:

Please consider sending your documents to a relative or friend in the UAE who can act as your representative and personally submit your documents to the Police Headquarters in the UAE. This is to ensure the safety of your authenticated documents and the convenience of having someone to call for follow-ups on the status of your application. An Authorization Letter or Special Power of Attorney should be issued to your representative.

Likewise, once the UAE Police Clearance is released, please remind your representative to have it translated in English before sending the document back to you in the Philippines.

PROCEDURES ON AUTHENTICATION

  • Documents for authentication must bear the Department of Foreign Affairs Apostille. 
  • Documents are sent ONLY through our accredited courier company – WWW Express/DHL - with     branches   nationwide.  The courier fee is separate from the authentication fee of the Embassy.
  • Authentication fee is AED150.00 per red ribbon.
  • The authentication process takes (3-5) WORKING days.  

TRAVEL DOCUMENT FOR UAE NATIONALS:

Part I:

Please be informed that the Marriage Contract and Birth Certificate should be authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs before their submission to the Embassy for authentication.

The Consular Section will accommodate the personal filing of documents of UAE nationals, their wives and/or child(ren).  However, the passport of your spouse along with the DFA authenticated documents as well as your own passport should be presented.  (Your spouse photocopied passport will give you access to the Embassy.  Without it, you may not be granted the permission to enter the Embassy premises.)

*The authentication fee of AED150.00 per document shall apply. *

All documents presented for authentication, in particular those involving UAE nationals are screened and approved/rejected in accordance with the laws of the UAE government.  Processing of documents for authentication usually take 2-3 working days.

Part II:

Following the authentication of the Marriage Contract and Birth Certificate, the rest of the procedures in securing a travel document for your son/daughter will be done by your husband in the UAE. 

After receiving the authenticated documents, spouse shall submit them to the Immigration Office in the UAE, and request for the issuance of a travel document for your son/daughter.

Part III.
The Embassy shall then receive a written official authorization from the UAE government instructing to issue the travel document in favor of your son/daughter.

*The fee of AED150.00 for the travel document shall apply.

After the issuance of the travel document, you and your son/daughter can depart Manila for UAE.

PROCEDURES IN MARRIAGE CONTRACT /BIRTH CERTIFICATE AUTHENTICATION

  • A marriage contract and birth certificate are considered ORIGINAL when it originates from the National Statistics Office (NSO). 
    However, there are cases, your marriage contract and birth certificate were registered only last 6 months ago and there is a possibility that the document is not yet retrievable at the NSO.  If and when that happens, a copy from the Office of the Civil Registrar where the marriage contract and birth certificate were filed can suffice provided it has the authentication/certified true copy seal of the Civil Registrar's Office.
  • The (registered) marriage contract and birth certificate should be submitted to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for authentication/attestation.  
  • After the release of the document from the DFA, you shall proceed to any Express/ DHL branch nationwide to submit your authenticated document together with a certified true copy issued by the local civil registrar.
    Reminder:   Express/DHL is the only courier company accredited by the UAE Embassy to collect and bring document/s to the Embassy for authentication.  The courier/service fees are separate from the authentication fee of the Embassy.
  • The authentication fee per document (red ribbon) is AED 150.00 You may pay it in cash at the Express/DHL outlet where the document is submitted.  
  • Processing takes 5 to 7 working days.  The authenticated document(s) shall be delivered to your address/location by Express/DHL.
