His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressed his happiness at the opening of the “Green Corner” building in Muharraq on Saturday January 30, 2021 after it was restored and undergone internal redesign work within the framework of the signed agreement to strengthen cultural cooperation relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain to preserve the common historical legacy of the two countries.
In a statement on this occasion, the ambassador emphasized that the opening of the "Green Corner" is the second project in which the United Arab Emirates contribute in cooperation with the Sheikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research after the restoration and opening of the "Peace Inn" on October 26, 2019 in the presence of Sheikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Ibrahim Center, and Her Excellency Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, said that the "Green Corner" house has an artistic, aesthetic and natural symbolism. The idea of restoring and redesigning it flourished within the framework of celebrating the centenary of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and choosing Muharraq is the capital of Islamic culture.
