Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Belarus
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Belarus was officially opened in 2009. Ambassador Mohammad Meer Alraeesi arrived in Minsk on October 18, 2008 and presented credentials to President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on January 19, 2009.
The UAE flag was officially raised over the Embassy premises on March 10, 2009 in the presence of Deputy foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Aleynik, who raised the flag together with the UAE Ambassador in front of a number of guests and ambassadors of the Arab states accredited in Minsk.
The agreement on establishing diplomatic relations between the UAE and Belarus was signed in 1992, i.e. 25 years ago.
