UAE Ambassador Meets Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs to Discuss Strengthening Investment and Economic Cooperation
H.E. Abdulla Salem AlDhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and Timor Leste, discussed with H.E. Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, ways to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. Indonesia welcomed the UAE’s commitment to expanding the scope of cooperation to include food processing, food security, and supply chains. The Ambassador also highlighted the commitment of Abu Dhabi Exports Office to supporting food security in Indonesia, while Abu Dhabi Ports is preparing to conduct a feasibility study for the development of an airport in Bali, contributing to strengthening the economic partnership between the two countries.

Establishment of the Jawaher Al Qasimi Humanitarian Innovation Center in Indonesia
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Humanitarian Envoy of The Big Heart Foundation, announced the establishment of the “Jawaher Al Qasimi Humanitarian Innovation Center” at Indonesia’s Gadjah Mada University. The project is being implemented in partnership between The Big Heart Foundation, NAMA Women Advancement Establishment, and the University, with total funding of US$1.6 million. The centre aims to bridge academic knowledge and field-based humanitarian expertise in order to develop practical and sustainable solutions to humanitarian and development challenges, including food security, climate change, women’s empowerment, and child well-being.

Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi Reviews Humanitarian Initiatives on Indonesia’s Bali Island
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Humanitarian Envoy of The Big Heart Foundation, visited a number of charitable projects and initiatives on the island of Bali in the Republic of Indonesia to learn about the needs of local communities and gain insights into the experiences of organisations working in the fields of education, empowerment, protection, and livelihood improvement. During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Sultan visited the Annika Linden Centre for supporting persons with disabilities, the Bali Life Foundation, and SOS Children’s Villages Indonesia. He was briefed on rehabilitation, education, economic empowerment, and child care programmes.
