H.E. Al Nuaimi Meets Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament’s Defence, Foreign Affairs, Communications and Intelligence Committee
H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), UEA, met with H.E. Utut Adianto, Chairman of the Defence, Foreign Affairs, Communications and Intelligence Committee at the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, in the presence of H.E. Abdulla Salem Obaid AlDhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and Timor Leste. The two sides discussed ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation, exchange expertise, and strengthen joint coordination at regional and international parliamentary forums. Dr. Al Nuaimi underscored the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting the partnership between the two countries, promoting dialogue and mutual understanding, and combating extremism and hate speech.

Establishment of the Jawaher Al Qasimi Humanitarian Innovation Center in Indonesia
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Humanitarian Envoy of The Big Heart Foundation, announced the establishment of the “Jawaher Al Qasimi Humanitarian Innovation Center” at Indonesia’s Gadjah Mada University. The project is being implemented in partnership between The Big Heart Foundation, NAMA Women Advancement Establishment, and the University, with total funding of US$1.6 million. The centre aims to bridge academic knowledge and field-based humanitarian expertise in order to develop practical and sustainable solutions to humanitarian and development challenges, including food security, climate change, women’s empowerment, and child well-being.
