The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Rwanda organized the UAE–Rwanda Trade Meeting, dedicated to exploring opportunities for cooperation and investment in coffee, tea, honey, and fruit products, with broad participation from representatives of the public and private sectors in both countries.

The meeting included the organization of a specialized exhibition at the Embassy premises, showcasing a selection of Rwandan products that represent some of Rwanda’s key exports. The exhibition provided a strategic platform for the exchange of expertise and the expansion of economic partnerships between the two sides.

The UAE–Rwanda Trade Meeting served as a vital platform for direct engagement between Emirati and Rwandan investors, with the aim of empowering the agricultural and food sectors, exploring partnership opportunities, and promoting sustainable trade in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.

The meeting witnessed the participation of more than 50 attendees, both in person and virtually, including representatives from 22 companies from the UAE and Rwanda, in addition to officials from various economic and trade-related entities and institutions.

In a statement following the meeting, Mr. Mohammed Al Kaabi, Chargé d’Affaires of the UAE Embassy in the Republic of Rwanda, affirmed that the meeting represents “an important step toward opening new horizons for bilateral cooperation, particularly in high value-added agricultural and food sectors.”

He further noted that, within the framework of its strategic vision to diversify the economy, the United Arab Emirates offers promising investment opportunities in areas such as food processing, packaging, cold chain logistics, and modern agricultural technologies, contributing to the enhancement of sustainable economic partnerships between the two countries.
