H.E. Abdulnasser Jamal Alshaali, PhD has served as Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Singapore since 2026.
Prior to his current appointment, H.E. Al Shaali served as Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of India and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bhutan, where H.E. Alshaali contributed to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, advancing economic cooperation under the UAE–India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), and expanding collaboration across a different range of priority sectors.
Before assuming his Ambassadorial responsibilities, H.E. Alshaali served as Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2020 to 2022, leading efforts to advance the UAE's international economic, trade, and investment priorities. Earlier, H.E. Alshaali served as Director of the Economic and Trade Affairs Department and Director of the Policy Planning Department, where he oversaw strategic foreign policy planning and contributed to the development of the UAE's international policy agenda. H.E. Alshaali joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2013 as an Economist in the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Throughout H.E. Alshaali’s distinguished career, he has been awarded several national and ministerial honors, including the President's First-Class Order of Zayed II, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Medal for Distinguished Leadership.
H.E. Alshaali holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Australian National University, a Master of Business Management from Paris Sorbonne University, a Master of Business Administration from Murdoch University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from the American University of Sharjah.
