UAE Embassy in Brasilia organises cultural and heritage exhibition at Brazilian Congress to celebrate UAE National Day

As part of the celebrations of the 51st UAE National Day, the UAE Embassy in Brasilia organised a cultural and heritage exhibition at the Brazilian Congress, with the support of the Presidency of the Senate, House of Representatives, and members of the Emirati-Brazilian Parliamentary Friendship Committee.

The exhibition took place in the presence of members of the Brazilian Congress and Senator Marcos Duval, Head of the Emirati-Brazilian Parliamentary Friendship Committee. At the event, pictures, collectibles, and Emirati handicrafts were displayed.

Senator Duval delivered a speech in which he welcomed the UAE Embassy’s convening of this exhibition and commended the strength of UAE-Brazil ties and cooperation in numerous fields, including the legislative field. Duval explained that the recent visit to Brazil by a delegation from the Federal National Council, headed by Saqr Ghobash, represented a milestone in parliamentary relations. Moreover, Duval underscored that bilateral relations are witnessing remarkable development in various fields.

Senator Guaracy Batista da Silveira also praised the values of coexistence and tolerance that prevail in Emirati society, noting the UAE’s development and progress over the past 51 years.

For her part, Rafeya Bushanain, Acting Chargé d’Affaires at the UAE Embassy in Brasilia, thanked the Presidency and members of Congress for hosting the exhibition. She also praised relations between the UAE Embassy and Congress, noting the valuable contributions made by its members in efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries by accelerating the ratification of agreements in various fields.
