His Excellency Sharif Essa Al Suwaidi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Federative Republic of Brazil, presented his credentials to Her Excellency Dr. Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, President of the Republic of Suriname, as the UAE’s non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Suriname.
His Excellency conveyed to the President the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with their wishes for further progress and prosperity for Suriname and its people.
For her part, Her Excellency the President of the Republic of Suriname asked the Ambassador to convey her greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, as well as her wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE’s leadership, government and people.
Her Excellency wished the Ambassador success in carrying out his duties and in further developing bilateral relations between the two countries, affirming her country’s readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate his mission.
For his part, the Ambassador expressed his pride in representing the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Suriname and reiterated his commitment to strengthening and advancing bilateral relations across various fields, thereby contributing to the further development of cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed areas of cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Suriname and discussed ways to further develop them in a manner that serves the interests and aspirations of both countries and their friendly peoples.
