A working meeting between the UAE Minister of Education Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi and his Bulgarian counterpart Krasimir Valchev took place online with the participation of the Chargé d'Affairs at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Sofia Mr. Tariq Bawazir and Dr. Sheikh Ammar Al Mualla, Director of Educational Organizations and External Relations.
During the meeting was discussed the significance of the solidarity and the joint efforts in the face of Covid-19 and the ways to support the continuity of education and the exchange of current experiences in the field of distance education, in addition to the mechanism of action towards developing the future educational process and how to benefit from the current situation in a positive way.
Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, met with Emil Karanikolov, Bulgarian Minister of Economy, to discuss bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Bulgaria in light of challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen the international response to COVID-19 and affirmed the importance of joint action in order to curb the virus’ spread.
An exchange of goods between the two sides took place to bolster both countries’ efforts to counter COVID-19.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received a phone call from Boyko Borisov, Prime Minister of the friendly Republic of Bulgaria.
During the call they discussed the mutual relations between the two countries and the steps for their development in all areas, and they also focused on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
The two sides discussed - during the phone call - the measures taken by the two countries to combat coronavirus, COVID-19, and mitigate its impact. They stressed the importance of joint cooperation and coordination to face the COVID-19 challenge.
