His Excellency Abdalla Shaheen has served as Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in São Paulo since December 2022. Among his main priorities are providing support and assistance to UAE citizens, strengthening the political, cultural, and economic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Brazil, as well as promoting tolerance and social development.
His work also includes encouraging cultural exchange between artists, intellectuals, and musicians from the United Arab Emirates and Brazil, while highlighting the culture, traditions, and values of his nation.
In the economic field, H.E. Shaheen works to enhance cooperation between the Consulate and Emirati companies in São Paulo, promote investment opportunities, and encourage the participation of the Brazilian business community in international exhibitions and events held in the United Arab Emirates.
Before assuming his post in São Paulo, H.E. Shaheen served as Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in New York, where he played an important role in strengthening relations between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, with a focus on business, cultural, and governmental partnerships. He also held senior advisory positions with high-level UAE authorities, contributing to strategic initiatives, including Expo 2020 Dubai.
H.E. Shaheen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.
