The Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in São Paulo is pleased to announce that two Brazilian initiatives have been selected as finalists for the 2026 Zayed Sustainability Prize, standing out among 7,761 entries from 173 countries.
The startup Stattus4, from Sorocaba in the State of São Paulo, is a finalist in the Water category for its innovative technology applied to water management and conservation. The Centro de Ensino Médio 111 Recanto das Emas, a public secondary school in the Federal District, is a finalist in the Global High Schools category for a student-led sustainability project.
Both initiatives were selected by an international jury of independent specialists following a rigorous three-stage evaluation process. Prize winners will be announced at a ceremony in January 2026 during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
Brazil's growing participation in the Zayed Sustainability Prize highlights the strength of the bilateral relationship between the two countries in innovation and sustainable development, areas of strategic priority for both the UAE and Brazil.
