Louvre Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Musée national Picasso-Paris and France Muséums, has announced the launch of the exhibition “Picasso, the Human”, which will run from 21 January to 31 May 2026.
The exhibition is the museum’s first monographic exhibition dedicated to the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso.
Featuring more than 130 artworks, the exhibition explores Picasso’s evolving vision of the human figure across different artistic periods, from Cubism and Surrealism to his later works. It also includes works by several pioneers of modern Arab art, highlighting the mutual influence and cultural dialogue between Western and Arab artistic traditions.
In addition, the exhibition will feature a diverse programme of cultural and educational activities, including lectures, art talks, film screenings, and drawing workshops, reflecting Louvre Abu Dhabi’s mission to promote cultural exchange and connect global artistic narratives across time and place.
