His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received a phone call from His Majesty King Felipe VI of the Kingdom of Spain, during which the King condemned the blatant Iranian attacks that continue to target the UAE and several sister countries in the region.
His Majesty reaffirmed Spain’s solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures the country takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. During the call, he also expressed his appreciation for the care and attention the UAE extends to Spanish nationals and all residents on its territory, as well as its efforts to facilitate their affairs and ensure their safety and well-being.
He further praised the efficiency of the UAE’s response measures and its successful management of the crisis while maintaining the security of the country and the safety of its citizens.
For his part, His Highness the President expressed his gratitude to King Felipe VI for Spain’s supportive stance toward the UAE.
The two leaders also discussed developments in the region amid the ongoing military escalation and its serious repercussions, which pose a threat to regional and global peace and security. They stressed the need for an immediate cessation of military escalation and a return to dialogue and diplomatic means in order to preserve the security and stability of the region.
