His Excellency Salem Al Jaberi holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy from Zayed University, a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Abu Dhabi University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates in 2009, beginning a diplomatic career that has encompassed a range of assignments contributing to his professional development and expertise in diplomatic and consular affairs.
His Excellency served at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Lebanon from 2010 to 2012, and later at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2020.
From 2021 to 2022, he served as Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Mozambique, and subsequently held the same position at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 2022 to 2023.
He served as Deputy Director of the African Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2023 to 2025, before being appointed Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Lagos in 2025.
