Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for National Food Security and Research of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, affiliated to Erth Zayed Philanthropies – UAE Presidential Court, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Pakistan International Date Palm Festival will be held on Tuesday, 16 September 2025 at the Expo Centre Karachi.

H.E. Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi, met with H.E. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Energy, Planning and Development, Government of Sindh. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in sustainable energy sectors and infrastructure development, along with coordination in urban and investment-related development projects.
His Excellency Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi, warmly received Mr. Owais Qadir Shah, Speaker of the Sindh Provincial Assembly, at the Consulate General. The visit focused on strengthening the mutual cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways of mutual cooperation and explored avenues to strengthen relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The meeting focused on enhancing financial cooperation, facilitating investment by UAE companies in Pakistan, and simplifying banking procedures for them.
The Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi welcomes the visit of H.E. Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who inaugurated the new Business Facilitation Section, enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan.
