Under the patronage of H.E. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for National Food Security and Research of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, affiliated to Erth Zayed Philanthropies – UAE Presidential Court, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Pakistan International Date Palm Festival will be held on Tuesday, 16 September 2025 at the Expo Centre Karachi.
H.E. Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi, met with H.E. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Energy, Planning and Development, Government of Sindh. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in sustainable energy sectors and infrastructure development, along with coordination in urban and investment-related development projects.
H.E. Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi, hosted the Green Initiative tree plantation event at the Consulate General with the participation of the Pakistan Young Football Champions team and children from the Special Olympics.
