H.E. Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi currently serves as the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi and has an extensive diplomatic and administrative career spanning more than two decades in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He commenced his diplomatic service at the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi on 13 August 2005 as First Secretary. His position was subsequently elevated to Advisor in the Consulate General, followed by Deputy Head of Mission, before being appointed Consul General in Karachi in March 2022.
Throughout his tenure, H.E. Dr. Al-Remeithi has contributed to advancing bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan through diplomatic engagement, humanitarian initiatives, economic cooperation, interfaith harmony initiatives, and community development programs. He has also supported trade, investment, cultural exchange, healthcare, education, and relief initiatives across Pakistan.
H.E. Dr. Al-Remeithi holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the United States and a Diploma in Political Affairs. In recognition of his contributions towards strengthening bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, he has been awarded honorary Ph.D. degrees. He was also awarded the 2018 Best Diplomat Award in Pakistan.
