The UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan His Excellency Ahmed Al-Hay Al-Hameli on a visit to the "Archman" sanatorium
His Excellency Ahmed Al-Hameli, the UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan, made a familiarization visit to the “Archman” sanatorium and met with the Mr. Charyyar Annasahedov, chief physician of the sanatorium. The chief physician acquainted the distinguished guest with the medicinal properties and existing infrastructures of the “Archman” sanatorium. The parties exchanged views on cooperation between the UAE and Turkmenistan in the sanatorium-resort and healthcare sector.
“Archman” sanatorium, is famous beyond Turkmenistan, and located in picturesque Kopetdag foothill 130 km west from Ashgabat. As Mr. Charyyar Annasahedov explained the reconstruction works, which was financed by the UAE Government, one of the oldest health resort of the region has turned into modern sanatorium and heath improving center, which has capability to receive the patients all year around, providing them with comfort conditions for stay with the level of medical service meeting standards. The peak season starts from month of March and continued for 6 months. The resort can admit 920 patients and costs 1150 manats for 10 days staying and 3 times meals included. .as stated, doctor Annasahedov, there is special menu for patients, all light and healthy food.
The resort is specialized in treatment of people having dermatological, chronic diseases of gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and nerve systems, biliary trees and musculoskeletal system.
Mineral water, which composition includes around 24 chemical elements, is the main healing factor of the health resort. The temperature of the thermal water is 28.7 degrees of Celsius all the time winter and summer. The level of hydrogen sulphide in this water allows considering it as healing and drinking water. The advantage of alkaline sub-thermal water of Archman is that it can be used for drinking as well as for balneological treatment. In addition to water, it has healing climate. The air of the foothills saturated with ions make positive effect on human body.
The health resort has diagnostic, water treatment and health improvement departments. The ground floor accommodates ECG, ultrasound, endoscopy rooms and clinical and biochemical laboratories, which are provided with innovative precise equipment. Qualified consultation of doctors such as general physician, otolaryngologist, neuropathologists, dentists are provided by the facility. Treatment physical training gym has treadmills, bicycle simulators and other modern sport equipment. It has two medical massage rooms.
The resort is now modern and well equipped. Next to the spring is the balneological building of the sanatorium, two wings in which are reserved for baths, there are 48 of them here. The patients taking bath recommended only for 15 minutes not more. The flow rate of the source is high, amounting to 240 - 310 liters per second.
This resort (sanatorium) can be regarded from different points as center or object of the Ecotourism in Turkmenistan; Cultural point is in visiting objects of cultural and historical heritage, immersion in ethnography and local traditions of the object of visit;
Educational (cognitive) point is in. observing of animals, insects, natural phenomena, photographing.
