Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan H.E. Ahmed Alhay Hamad Khamis Alhameli

His Excellency Ahmed Alhay Hamad Khamis Alhameli has served as the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan since 2021. He has built a distinguished diplomatic career spanning more than two decades, serving in a range of leadership positions across the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE's diplomatic missions abroad.

H.E. Alhameli began his diplomatic career as a Diplomatic Attaché in 2003. In 2006, he was appointed Head of the Congressional Affairs Section at the UAE Embassy in Washington, D.C. In 2010, he served as Deputy Head of Mission at the UAE Embassy in Berlin. In 2013, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Americas and Pacific Affairs Department, followed by his appointment as Director of the West Asia Department in 2017. In 2019, he became Director of the East Asia and Pacific Department.

H.E. Alhameli holds a bachelor's degree from the School of International Service at the American University in Washington, D.C. He also earned a Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from the School of International Service at the American University, as well as a master's degree in Security Affairs and Strategic Studies from the UAE National Defense College.
