Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov arrived in the United Arab Emirates on October 10, 2021 to participate in the ceremony to celebrate the National Day of Turkmenistan on the sidelines of Expo 2020 Dubai. President of Turkmenistan, along with his delegation, toured his country’s pavilion, as well as the UAE pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai Accompanied by the Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, Reem Al Hashemi
On the occasion of the National Day of Turkmenistan, the flag of Turkmenistan was raised in the Al Wasl Plaza while its national anthem was played. His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Al Hai Al Hamli, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan, delivered a speech on this occasion.
Senior officials also delivered speeches on the occasion.
Visitors to the Turkmenistan pavilion, located in the Mobility District, are greeted by a majestic fountain sculpture featuring five Akhal-Teke horses at the entrance.
The Turkmen pavilion is showcasing the country historic and cultural heritage and modern industrial achievements, in addition to its developmental priorities and international relations.
National and honour days at Expo 2020 Dubai are moments to celebrate each of Expo’s 200-plus international participants, shining a light on their culture and achievements and showcasing their pavilions and programming.
At the ceremony H.E Suhail Al Mazrouie, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, H.E. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade were presented.
During the visit, the President met with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
During the meeting, agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between the two friendly countries in various fields such economic, investment, ports and energy, at the headquarters of Expo 2020 Dubai.
