His Excellency Abdalla Hassan Alshamsi presented a copy of his credentials to His Excellency Melaku Bedada, Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, on 3-July 2026 as Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The presentation took place during an official ceremony held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Addis Ababa.
H.E. Melaku Bedada welcomed H.E. Al Shamsi and wished him every success in carrying out his duties, reaffirming Ethiopia’s commitment to further strengthening the longstanding relations of cooperation with the UAE in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
For his part, H.E. Alshamsi expressed his pride in representing the UAE in the FDRE and affirmed his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors, building on the strong ties of friendship and partnership that unite the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the close bilateral relations between the UAE and the FDRE and discussed ways to further strengthen and expand cooperation across various fields in order to serve the shared interests and aspirations of the two friendly countries and their peoples.
