From H.E the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia It gives me great pleasure to welcome the visitors of the website of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, which we hope provides information related to the bilateral relations between our two countries, activities of the embassy and its services.

That will facilitate the process of deepening and strengthening the relations of the two countries to serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries. Based on our relations which deeply rooted in the ancient history, during which commercial, cultural and social relations of our peoples extended, as well as our aspirations for a bright future for us and our future generations, we are committed to consolidate our contemporary relations that were established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE and the Ethiopian Prime Minister The late Meles Zenawi.

The visits of many high officials Ethiopian to the UAE were a milestone in the modern history of our bilateral relations, as these endeavors culminated in the visit of His Excellency Seyoum Mesfin, the then Ethiopian Foreign Minister on March 22, 2004, which was a solid foundation on which contemporary relations between the two countries were built.

The opening of the UAE embassy in Ethiopia in July 2010 represented the most important step in the development of our current relations, as political, commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries were strengthened. Based on all the above facts; I find myself, with an open mind and heart, more looking for a promising future in which our peoples fulfill their aspirations in a decent and dignified life.
