A meeting was held between H.E. Ambassador Ibrahim Salem Alalawi and H.E. Marco Antonio Calderón, Minister of Mining and Metallurgy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, in the city of La Paz.
During the meeting, both parties discussed mechanisms to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the mining and natural resources sectors, with a view to contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals and consolidating common interests, particularly in areas such as exploration, the adoption of advanced technologies, and the efficient management of resources.
In this context, H.E. the Ambassador emphasized the strategic importance of the industrial and mining sector within the vision of the United Arab Emirates, highlighting it as a key pillar for economic diversification and the promotion of sustainable growth, in line with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, aimed at increasing the industrial sector's contribution to the gross domestic product and strengthening its international competitiveness. Both parties agreed on the importance of maintaining coordination and continuous dialogue, as well as promoting the development of bilateral relations, as an expression of their mutual interest in strengthening them and projecting them towards broader horizons in various areas.
