The Ambassador

H.E. Ibrahim Salem Humaid Ali Alalawi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Peru.

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates began his diplomatic career by joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the rank of Diplomatic Attaché on November 18, 2008.
On January 1, 2011, he was appointed Head of the Department of Posted Diplomats within the Directorate for Diplomatic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Subsequently, on February 28, 2016, he assumed the position of Head of Consular, Financial, and Administrative Affairs at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Podgorica, Montenegro.

From September 18, 2017, to November 30, 2022, he served as Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in São Paulo, Federative Republic of Brazil.
He also served as Commissioner General of the United Arab Emirates Pavilion at Expo Doha 2023, from October 2, 2023, to March 28, 2024.

On May 16, 2024, he assumed his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Peru.

He was subsequently accredited as Non-Resident Ambassador to the Plurinational State of Bolivia on January 27, 2025, and to the Republic of Ecuador on May 23, 2025.

In recognition of his distinguished diplomatic service, he was awarded the “Honorato Vásquez” Medal in the rank of Grand Cross by the Republic of Ecuador.
