H.E. Ibrahim Salem Humaid Ali Al Alawi Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Peru and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Plurinational State of Bolivia and the Republic of Ecuador

H.E. Ibrahim Salem Humaid Ali Al Alawi serves as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Peru since May 2024. He also serves as Non-Resident Ambassador to the Plurinational State of Bolivia and the Republic of Ecuador. He has built a distinguished diplomatic and professional career, holding a range of positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE's diplomatic missions abroad.

H.E. Al Alawi began his diplomatic career by joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Diplomatic Attaché in November 2008. In 2011, he was appointed Head of the Seconded Diplomats Section in the Ministry's Diplomatic Affairs Department before joining the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Montenegro, where he headed the Consular, Financial, and Administrative Affairs Section. He later served as Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in São Paulo from 2017 to 2022. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Commissioner General of the United Arab Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha. In May 2024, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Peru, followed by his appointments as Non-Resident Ambassador to the Plurinational State of Bolivia in 2025 and subsequently to the Republic of Ecuador.

In recognition of his distinguished diplomatic contributions, H.E. Ibrahim Salem Humaid Ali Al Alawi was awarded the Order of Honorato Vásquez, Grand Cross, by the Republic of Ecuador.
