His Excellency Dr. Tariq Al Tayer, First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council, met with Her Excellency Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Murad Al Balushi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 20th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, hosted by Baku. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the strength of the growing strategic relations between the UAE and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which are witnessing rapid and qualitative development across various fields thanks to the shared vision and mutual support of the leadership of both countries. They also stressed the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two sides to serve the common interests of the two friendly nations.
