His Excellency Ahmed Al Hay Al Hameli, the UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan, paid a field visit to the Turkmenbashi port in the Balkan region in western part Turkmenistan.
This visit comes as part of the Ambassador’s tour to see the facilities and infrastructure that Turkmenistan has.
He pointed out that the UAE and Turkmenistan have great potential in the field of logistics services, which will open new horizons for the two countries.
During his tour of the facilities of the Turkmenbashi International Port, the Ambassador met with His Excellency Mr. Seyitguly Bayseyidov, the Director of the Port, and His Excellency, Osmanberdi Garajayev, the Director of the Department of International Relations and Agreements, in the presence of Meret Abdullahev, the representative of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Balkan. The two sides discussed cooperation between DP World and Turkmenbashi International Port in the field of port operations and logistics services.

During the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador delivered to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, to His Excellency Sardar Berdimuhamedow, President of Turkmenistan, to participate in the United Nations Water Conference 2026, which will be hosted by the UAE next December. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
